On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Derbyshire house builder Woodall Homes has appointed George Gordon as its new sales director.
Gordon, who joins the company from Sheffield and Chesterfield-based estate agent Redbrik, will head up the sales side of the business having racked up more than seven years’ experience in the real estate industry.
He said: “I’ve always had a passion for houses and buildings, it’s something which stems from my childhood.
“I enjoyed my time with Redbrik and learnt so much about the real estate industry – gaining priceless experience in the process which will stand me in good stead in my future career.
“The opportunity to join Woodall Homes is one which I relish – I’m looking forward to helping the business progress its sales strategy and to continue the good work which the organisation has done in bringing so many outstanding new homes to the region.”
Woodall Homes is currently constructing five developments in Derbyshire at Chesterfield, Brimington, Long Duckmanton, Bolsover and Calow.
Meanwhile, Nottingham-based accountancy firm Page Kirk has appointed four graduates from local universities to bolster its growing ranks.
Bryn Luffman, who already knows Page Kirk from an earlier placement, has returned to join the firm’s accounts and audit department and study for his ACA qualification. He will be joined by Martin Cull, who will also study for the qualification.

The third new recruit is Joshua Ruthven, who is studying towards the joint ACA-CTA qualification and will join Page Kirk’s tax department.
Finally, Michael Mottershead has joined the firm from Nottingham Trent University on a year-long placement.
Senior partner John Wallis said: “We are very pleased to have Bryn re-joining Page Kirk to complete his ACA qualification after his successful placement year.
“He showed a great work ethic and is very knowledgeable in the field. We are also excited to have three new members of the team, Martin joining our ACA graduate scheme, Joshua joining our ACA-CTA graduate scheme and Michael joining the firm on our placement scheme. We look forward to seeing them progress at Page Kirk.”
