Law firm wins major contract with utility network provider

Shakespeare Martineau has been appointed as legal adviser to one of the UK’s largest providers of last-mile utility networks.

Glasgow-based Last Mile Infrastructure Group has enlisted the services of the law firm following a competitive pitch process.

Peter Dilks, partner in the firm’s Nottingham office, led the pitch.

Last Mile Infrastructure Group designs, builds and owns multi-utility networks alongside housebuilders, construction firms and independent consultancy companies on new residential and commercial developments. It operates throughout the UK.

Shakespeare Martineau will be supporting the company on a variety of legal activities including its leases and transfers of substations and gas governors. The law firm already advises Last Mile subsidiary Energetics on other commercial matters.
