On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Updesh Bhogal and Kai Nuthall

The RU Group has appointed two new faces at its Nottingham headquarters.

Kai Nuthall and Updesh Bhogal have joined the financial planning and wealth management company’s specialist pension division Channack Ross as SSAS administrators.

Ian Browne, head of advice at The RU Group, said: “As a result of our growth throughout 2019, we are continuing to invest in our staff at all levels, from experienced IFAs to the region’s brightest graduates, apprentices and young people at the beginning of their careers in finance. Kai and Updesh impressed us at interview and the team are looking forward to working with and supporting them as they embark on their career with us.”

The new hires follow a period of expansion for the company, which increased its turnover by almost 10 per cent to £5.8 million during the last financial year.

Elsewhere, East Midlands-based architecture and construction consultancy YMD Boon has promoted Steve Day to associate architect a little over a year after he joined the firm.

Day, a registered architect with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and a chartered architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), makes the step up at the consultancy’s Derby office.
