Baby store brand to expand into Nottingham

Kelly Carter of Little Angels

A £2 million turnover baby store brand is set to open a new outlet in Nottingham.

Little Angels, established by Kelly Carter in Ilkeston five years ago, will open its doors at 43-49 Prospect Street on Friday 29 November.

The company’s new premises boasts 5,000 sq ft of floor space. As well as stocking brands such as iCandy and Silver Cross, the new store will offer one of the most extensive ranges of pushchairs in the UK, with over 80 on display at any one time.

Little Angels’ original premises in Ilkeston will remain open as a factory retail outlet.

The firm’s expansion comes after retail giant Mothercare, which had a branch a mile and a half away at Castle Marina, entered administration earlier this month.

Carter said: “It’s so sad to see such a household name disappearing, and devastating for all the staff.

“As an independent business, we aim to provide a professional and personal service for Nottinghamshire’s parents and parents-to-be.”
