Reports suggest Hardy could return to football

Alan Hardy

Former Paragon Interiors and Notts County FC boss Alan Hardy is weighing up a return to football with League 2 side Grimsby Town, reports suggest.

Hardy is rumoured to be considering joining a consortium led by lawyer Colin Dodd – who previously tried and failed to buy Notts County – in an advisory capacity.

Dodd is looking to take over the North Lincolnshire side after his bid to buy County hit the rocks in the summer. The club was eventually sold to Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz.

Hardy, who owns The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club, sold Notts County to the Danish brothers after the club dropped out of the football league for the first time in its history.

When approached by TheBusinessDesk.com, Hardy was keen to stress that the reports were mere hearsay.

He said: “I can’t comment on rumours at the moment.”
