Estate agency acquires first commercial premises
Two Derbyshire brothers who run their own estate agency business have acquired their first commercial premises.
Amber Homes Sales & Lettings, originally founded as a lifestyle business in 2009 by Daniel and Matthew Housley, has purchased a property on Keys Road, Alfreton with help from Barclays.
The company previously rented premises in Ripley but decided that a shop front was not absolutely necessary in today’s house buying world.
Daniel Housley, director of Amber Homes Sales & Lettings, said: “It soon became apparent to us that today’s house purchaser doesn’t necessarily visit an estate agent’s on the High Street, instead relying more on sites such as Rightmove to do their research. The offices we now have in Alfreton will enable us to grow the business in the future by offering the support of a mortgage advisor and savings/insurance expert.”
Funding for the purchase was provided by Barclays, with relationship manager Kathy Cooper and business development manager Scott Clacher working with Amber Homes on the deal.
Cooper said: “I am delighted we have been able to support Daniel and Matthew with this purchase which will provide them with a strong base on which to grow their business.”
