New Nottingham Vietnamese restaurant set to open in Hockley

Plans to turn the former National Videogame Arcade on Carlton Street in Nottingham into a restaurant and cafe have been given the go-ahead.

As we exclusively revealed in January, plans show the building in the Hockley area of the city will be turned into the latest Pho outlet – the Vietnamese chain – and will create 34 full- and part-time jobs.

The building has been empty since July 2018, when the National Videogame Arcade closed and moved to Sheffield.

Back then, Ben Tebbutt of property agent Box Property told TheBusinessDesk.com that restaurant operators were interested in the building.

He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity in what is now the most sought after location in the city. The building – or should I say five buildings – can be split to provide a variety of different sized units. There is also a fantastic roof garden which will provide some of the best outdoor space in the area.”
