Country house hotel and wedding venue enters administration

Branston Hall

The company that owns Lincoln-based country house hotel and weddings venue Branston Hall has slipped into administration, with all jobs at the venue now at risk.

Administrators from RSM have been called in by the company in what owners are calling a “devastating” blow. The venue is the latest – and almost certainly not the last – casualty of the Government’s policy of keeping hospitality venues closed to the public.

A statement from Branston Hall management said: “We are utterly heartbroken to announce that Branston Hall Hotel, the company that is owned by South Springs Limited has now been placed into administration.

“We ask that you do not attempt to contact the Hotel as it is only security oersonnel on site who would not be able to advise you.

“All staff have been affected by this and will not have any more details other than to advise you to contact RSM.

“Once a company has been appointed to look after the affairs, the account will be passed onto them to be able to assist you with all your enquires.

“We’d like to thank every single guest who ever visited our hotel, everyone who supported us and to everyone that has sent us kind messages and well wishes.

“This is devastating for every member of staff that have been at the hotel for so many years and to those who worked so hard to try and get Branston Hall open again.”

Branston Hall Hotel, once a stately home for the Melville family, has 53 guest bedrooms and is three miles south of Lincoln. It sits within 88 acres of stunning parkland and Lakes.
