Homecare provider moves HQ to Derbyshire

Healthnet Homecare (UK) has moved its national headquarters to Orbit Business Park, Swadlincote, after taking an additional 14,000 sq ft of space.

HealthNet Homecare (UK) first moved to Orbit Business Park at the end of last year, and with the additional unit the company now occupies around 32,000 sq ft and three out of the six units on the business park, which now fully occupied.

HealthNet Homecare (UK) designs, develops and delivers homecare services for patients.

Kerry Hinton, chief executive, said: “HealthNet are committed to working in partnership with, and supporting the NHS to deliver the highest levels of personalised treatment for patients at home or in a location of their choice.

“The additional space at Orbit Business Park is part of our strategic expansion plan to be able to offer additional capacity and flexibility of clinical homecare services to our NHS partners, both locally and on a National basis. We have already created over 30 new jobs at Swadlincote and we see ourselves very much as part of this community. We will continue to expand and grow and create new posts including skilled positions for our patient services team, homecare nurses and pharmacy roles.

“Orbit Business Park will become the new headquarters for HealthNet whilst retaining our existing site in West Yorkshire.”

Caroline Jones, lettings manager at Whittle Jones Midlands, agent acting on behalf of landlord Northern Trust Company, said: “We are delighted that HealthNet Homecare has expanded their operations at Orbit Business Park, and that the estate is now fully occupied. We rebranded the business park last year following substantial refurbishment works which saw the estate split back into six individual units following vacation of the former tenant who occupied the site as a whole. The site is now a key employment zone with the occupiers having created a number of new jobs, which is great for the local economy.”

Paul Rushton, director at Rushton Hickman, joint letting agents on the Park, added: “We were happy to assist with the marketing of the units and are pleased that the last remaining unit has now been let. They were attractive units of varying sizes in a popular location which helped achieve a successful result.”
