Property agent appointed to 550-acre Lincolnshire site

Previous plans for the scheme

Avison Young has been appointed to market a 550-acre development site near Scunthorpe town centre.

The site forms part of the wider Lincolnshire Lakes project, which aims to deliver up to 6,000 new homes for the area along with a commercial park and associated uses.

The Lincolnshire Lakes project will play a key part in the regeneration of the north Lincolnshire area, and Avison Young is specifically marketing the opportunity to housing providers that can deliver new homes at scale and at pace.

The site is one of the largest UK residential development opportunities on the market, with the potential to assist in re-shaping Scunthorpe and the surrounding area. Previous plans, which formed part of the Lincolnshire Lakes scheme, set out to deliver sustainable village communities along the western edge of Scunthorpe and the nearby River Trent.

Senior surveyor, Robert Cruikshank, says of the appointment: “We are extremely pleased to be working on delivering what is a fantastic opportunity for the North Lincolnshire region. We expect strong demand for the site when it is released to the market later this month. Our primary goal now is to find a provider that can deliver the best results for Scunthorpe and the surrounding area.”

Avison Young has been appointed as sole agent on behalf of LPA Receivers AD Foster & N Pask. Offers are being invited for the freehold of the whole site, with smaller lot offers also to be considered.
