City briefs: Eurocell; Cloudcall

Eurocell, the Alfreton manufacturer of window, door and roofline PVC products, has seen its revenues lift by 21% to £168m for the six months to June 30.

The results come on the back of a stronger than expected first half performance. The firm says that it now expects profits before tax for the full year to be ahead of expectations.

However, the firm issued a warning that it was struggling to source the materials it needed because of the well-documented shortage of HGV drivers.

A statement read: Availability of the incremental operational labour we need to service strong demand is tight. In addition, in the light of a well-publicised shortage of HGV drivers in the UK, our outsourced transport provider has faced challenges providing the required number of vehicles to service higher than expected sales.”

Cloudcall, the Leicester-based cloud-based software business, has posted a revenue rise of 10.4% for the six months to June 30, with sales coming in at £6.4m.

Simon Cleaver, CEO, said: “For CloudCall and many of our customers, 2020 was a challenging year, but I’m pleased to say that now seems firmly behind us and the business is once again thriving.
