Mansfield livery business up for sale

An opportunity to buy an established livery business in Mansfield has become available, after the owners put the company up for sale for almost £1.5m.

Warren Farm Stables includes 39.24 acres in total with stabling for 27 horses and a flood lit manège. It is being sold with a fully let commercial unit and planning consent to convert the Grade II listed stone barn into three houses.

The first three-bedroom house has already been completed and is occupied by the current owners. The middle house is currently used as office and canteen space under a commercial lease.

The land and property is being sold by Savills. Sam Thomas in the Savills East Midlands farm agency team, said: “It’s quite rare for a busy and thriving equestrian business of this nature to come to the market. There is a successful livery operation and scope to expand this business as well as to diversify into other equestrian activities.

“It is ideally situated just a short drive from Sherwood Pines, Sherwood Forest, Rufford Park and Clumber Park, with the market town of Mansfield on its doorstep, so there is also plenty of opportunity for further diversification into other business streams.”

John and Judith Reeday are selling the equestrian centre after moving from North Yorkshire in 2016. John comments: “We have been at Warren Farm Stables for five happy years and we have loved every minute here. Whilst we will be sad to move on, we are looking forward to a new chapter in Norfolk where we are moving to be closer to our children and grandchildren.”
