Engineering firm moves into new 17,500 sq ft premises

SGS Engineering has moved into a new Derby 17,500 sq ft unit after agreeing a deal with landlord Manston.

The deak, brokered by Salloway, will see SGS Engineering take a five-year lease at Unit 8, Westside Park.

Last month, Salloway brokered the deal to sell the premises to Manston and was retained to find an occupier.

Chris Keogh, associate director at Salloway, said: “Once we were appointed to market the leasehold interest, we quickly set about generating quality enquiries which resulted in strong interest from four potential tenants. SGS obviously have a heavy presence at this location and therefore, represented the most attractive proposition for our client so terms were quickly agreed.

A special word must also go to the legal counsels; Rachel Briggs and Alison James-Moore of Elvin Moore Solicitors who represented our client and Mark Vinecombe of Underwood Vinecombe on behalf of the tenant both of who acted in a highly professional and skilled manner to expedite the transaction in such a short space of time.”
