Developer reveals plans for 50 new homes in Leicestershire town

How the scheme will look

Godwin Developments has submitted outline plans for the creation of up to 50 new family homes on land south of Ashby Road Central, in the Leicestershire town of Shepshed.

The proposed scheme, which will be a mixture of house types, is situated on a vacant site next to the established community on Crowson Close, and is allocated for housing in the Charnwood Borough Council Local Plan.

Ketan Patel, senior development manager at Godwin Developments, said: “We are delighted to be bringing this new development to Ashby Road Central in response to Charnwood Borough Council’s plans to build 2,331 new homes by 2037, due to growing local demand. Our plans will see us create a high-quality, sustainable development that will welcome new people to the community, continuing to make Shepshed a desirable place for people of all ages.”
