Traffic Alert: A453 closed both ways between M1 and A52 after crash

The A453 is closed in both directions between the A52 and the M1 J24 near Nottingham following a crash.

All emergency services including the air ambulance are working at the scene.

Southbound diversion route:
From Silverdale roundabout , exit onto the A52 and head north.
At QMC roundabout, exit the dual carriageway onto the slip road for the roundabout and take the first exit onto the A52 south.
Continue on the A52 for 5 miles , continuing through the Bramcote and Bardills roundabout until the exit for the M1 J25
Exit the A52 and join the M1 southbound to J24 to continue your journey.

Northbound diversion route:
From the M1 J24 , travel north for 5 miles.
At J25 exit the M1 and take the exit for the A52 east towards Nottingham.
Follow the A52 for 7 miles until Clifton Bridge, where the A453 meet the A52 to continue your journey.
