Law firm appoints debt specialist as ‘exciting’ period of growth continues
Flint Bishop has appointed a new head of debt services to oversee the continued growth of its national debt recovery and outsourced credit management operations.
Niall Gilhooley joins the Derby and Birmingham-based law firm having spent the last 13 years as operational lead of Irwin Mitchell’s specialist debt recovery business, Ascent.
As Ascent CEO, Gilhooley was responsible for over 200 employees and was instrumental in transforming the company into a £10m-plus turnover concern.
He has also held senior roles with PRA Group, Provident Financial Group and Lloyds Banking Group.
Gilhooley’s appointment is the latest milestone in an exceptional period of growth for the firm, which recently posted the strongest financial results in its history.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining Flint Bishop at such an exciting time for the firm.
“The strategic vision for the firm is remarkable, and I am eager to begin developing the debt services range as we adapt to economic factors and other market opportunities, whilst continuing to exceed clients’ expectations with our core debt recovery operations.”
The firm’s debt services operation has thus far been overseen by Flint Bishop’s chief executive, Qamer Ghafoor.
