Mondana Cook

PBD Biotech – a spin-out from UoN-based Nottingham Technology Ventures – has appointed a new chief operating officer.

Mondana Cook comes on-board as the company gears up to launch a new diagnostic for tuberculosis.

Cook was previously chief operating officer at precision medicine and diagnostics firm Kinomica.

She was also director of program management at QIAGEN and has been involved in the development of a tuberculosis vaccine.

She said: “I see my role as continuing the transition into products and global healthcare solutions.

“This will involve collaborations to further enhance the product development and clinical data packages, scale up of product manufacture, and achieve successful regulatory submissions and registrations. This work will culminate in the full product launch of a human diagnostic for TB.”

Ultimate Finance has appointed a pair of regional directors to strengthen its presence in the Midlands.

Eric De Armitt and Kieran Ryan bring a wealth of experience to the asset-based lender, which is part of the international private investment company Tavistock Group.
