(L-R): Yatin Kotak, Kirstie Ross & Matthew McCristal

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa has bolstered its leadership team with three new hires.

Matthew McCristal has been named as the new manager of the luxury retreat, which sits on the picturesque shores of Rutland Water.

McCristal started out in hospitality as a teenager and has since accumulated over 20 years’ experience with boutique hotels, wedding venues and larger chains.

His most recent role was with Hilton Hotels.

He said: “I’m excited to be part of the team at Rutland Hall Hotel. I was ‘wowed’ from my very first introduction to the property and people here. The historic buildings and beautiful grounds speak for themselves, but the commitment of the leadership team to drive forward the ambitious vision for the business is something I am eager to be part of.”

Meanwhile, Yatin Kotak has been appointed as the hotel’s new director of corporate strategy.

He said: “I am delighted to be stepping into this role, at a pivotal point in the resort’s history. We are building a pioneering and dynamic leadership team as we strive together towards our collective vision of Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa becoming the leading resort destination in the UK. I am looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Kirstie Ross joins the hotel as HR & training manager.

She said: “Our people are at the heart of our success at Rutland Hall Hotel. The investment in the resort itself is being complemented with investment in the team, reflecting our philosophy to not only provide an unforgettable guest experience, but to be a respectful and value-driven workplace for all colleagues.”

Over the last 12 months the hotel has launched newly refurbished suites, bedrooms and apartments, new meeting spaces and a revamped restaurant and bar.

Its historic main hall has also been completely renovated.
