Administrators called in at soft drinks firm

An East Midlands soft drinks producer and retailer has called in administrators.

Soda Folk, which is based in Kettering, has appointed MacIntyre Hudson to look after the day-to-day running of the company, just weeks after posting a notice of intention to appoint administrators.

The company, which sells its products via mail order and in stores across the UK, says its mission is to create “star-studded sodas using awesome ingredients to reinvent world-famous flavours”.

Last year, Soda Folk became TikTok’s first soft drinks partner thanks to an exclusive deal.

In its latest accounts for the year ending December 31 2021, Soda Folk had assets totalling £562,117. At the time, the company employed four people.
