London indie pizza chain gets go-ahead for Nottingham venue

Indie pizza chain, Pizza Pilgrims, has been given the go-ahead to open its first Midlands venue in Nottingham city centre.

The company will turn the three-storey 15 Carlton Street in Hockley into one its successful pizza outlets. The unit is currently vacant having been last used as an Italian restaurant and bar.

Pizza Pilgrims has 18 outlets across London, as well as restaurants in Brighton and Oxford.

A planning statement submitted to Nottingham City Council reads: “The proposed Pizza Pilgrims re-use of an established restaurant and bar premises with day-time, evening and late-night opening will provide an active and vibrant street scene use.”
