Gym firm closes Nottingham branch

A Nottingham city centre gym has suddenly closed – with no notice to members.

Trib3, which operated one of its branches from a unit on Carrington Street, launched in Nottingham just a year ago.

However, the gym was suddenly closed last weekend.

Earlier this year, Trib3 restructured – closing its UK head office and moving it to Barcelona. Its UK-owned or operated sites were transferred to paid-up franchises in a pre-pack deal in a move introduced by new executive chair Jonathan Fisher.

Tribe3 International had lost over £10m and owed over £4.3m to creditors by the time insolvency practioners were called in to restructure the company.

When it launched in Nottingham in July 2021, Trib3 promised a new 45-spot studio as part of a nationwide expansion plan.
