Nottingham-based architecture and interior design firm CPMG has been chosen for the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Framework Agreement.

The framework spans four years, comprising 11 service-oriented segments, and holds potential projects worth £1.6 billion.

Established in 2004 by the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) is a provider of corporate services to the NHS. These procurement avenues are open to all public sector organisations.

CPMG has secured a spot in Lot 1: Architectural Services. This means they will be responsible for designing construction projects across different RIBA stages and regions. CPMG is among 70 suppliers in this category, with the potential to work on projects worth approximately £200 million.

Recent architectural projects CPMG have completed include the AIRC Centre at Cranfield University. This project was undertaken as part of an NHS SBS team led by a consultant on the framework.

Richard Flisher, managing director at CPMG, said: “Securing a place on this framework agreement is a great achievement for the team and will provide a simple pathway for us to be appointed directly by public sector clients.

“This will benefit our growth strategy greatly, particularly in the London and Birmingham studios where the framework can open new markets. It also follows another recent win in our home territory where we secured a re-appointment to the University of Nottingham consultancy framework. We are excited to be part of such a well-established and industry-critical framework with NHS SBS and are looking forward to exploring the opportunities and forging new relationships that arise through this.”
