Administrator named at stricken design and development firm

Quantum's offices

Opus Restructuring has been named as the administrator to a collapsed design and development firm that supplies retailers.

As TheBusinessDesk.com revealed late last week, Leicestershire-based Quantum 4 and its sister company Quantum 4 International posted a notice of appointment to appoint administrators through law firm Shoosmiths.

Now, Louise Williams and Trevor Binyon from Opus have been named as the joint administrators to the Market Harborough firms.

Quantum 4 was set up in 2002 and offers services from conception to roll-out for the likes of AO, Tesco Money and Nespresso.

In its latest available accounts, made up to March 31 2022, the firm made a profit of almost £940,000 – up sharply from just under £300,000 the year before. It had assets of £2.85m.

At the time, the company employed 29 people.

Shawbrook Bank holds an outstanding charge over Quantum 4.
