Dividend windfall for shareholders as Games Workshop powers on

Nottingham-based Games Workshop has provided a dividend boost for shareholders after posting better-than-expected results for the three months to 27 August.

Core revenue looks set to come in at around of £121m (2022/23: £106m) with licensing revenue of approximately £6m (2022/23: £3m). Profit before tax is estimated at around £57m(2022/23: £39 million). This has been driven by “healthy” growth across all channels.

A statement from the firm said: “The board recognises that this performance is better than the prior year but is also aware that it is still early in the financial year. A further update will be given as appropriate.”

Meanwhile, Games Workshop has declared a dividend of 50p per share taking dividends declared so far in 2023/24 to £1.95 per share (2022/23: £1.20 per share).
