New coffee shop to replace pizza restaurant in Derbyshire

Coffee#1 is opening a new location in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, taking over the current premises of the pizza restaurant Pizza Pi on Vicar Lane by the end of the year.

This will be its second store in Derbyshire, with an existing branch in Buxton.

This development follows the liquidation of Pizza Pi in July.

The pizza business now operates as a pop-up stall at Brampton Social Club and the Dronfield Arms on a regular basis while continuing to serve customers at the Vicar Lane location.

Featuring more than 70 indoor seats and 32 outdoor seats, the expansion is anticipated to generate approximately 10 job opportunities.

Ricky Marples, owner of Pizza Pi said: “We’ve got a few venues that we are halfway in the process of finalising. We’re not sure we are going to have a venue open by the time this one shuts, but we are working on that. We’ve got a good reputation and a good brand, so there’s plenty of landlords that will want us.

“We are trading from Brampton Social Club and the Dronfield Arms on a regular basis at the minute, we’ll keep trading one way or another.”
