Cartwright-on! Comms agency set for Hot Property

With just weeks to go until Hot Property 2023, we chatted with first-time performer Lucy Torr of Cartwright Communications about on-stage nerves and how the group act is getting ready for November’s big night.

What are you most looking forward to about Nottingham Hot Property 2023?

All the acts coming to life will be really exciting. After the weeks of rehearsals and hard work, watching everybody take to the stage on the night and seeing it all come together is what I’m looking forward to most.

What do you think of this year’s theme?

There’s definitely so much variety that can be seen from this year’s Day of the Dead theme. From Halloween classics to iconic pop anthems, this year’s crowd certainly won’t be disappointed.

With Hot Property falling so close to Halloween, this year’s theme pays a nice homage to the spooky season but with some Mexican flair.

You attended Hot Property last year, but this is your first time performing – what made you want to take part?

Last year’s Hot Property completely blew my mind. Seeing how involved and excited the crowd were, with such great support for each and every act on stage made it even more appealing to take part this year.

I couldn’t pass on having the opportunity to try something new that I have never done before, especially when it is for such a great cause like The Television Workshop.

For anyone that hasn’t attended the event before, what can they expect?

A lot of fun. If there is one word to describe the night, it would be fun. It’s a fantastic show with so much talent, from the performers to the live band and the people that make it happen behind the scenes, it is sure to be a night to remember.

As happened with me, anyone attending for the first time may find themselves on stage next year.
