75 jobs to be created as sports bar and kitchen makes debut in Nottingham

Inside a BOX venue

BOX, a sports bar and kitchen, is set to open a new venue in Nottingham’s city centre – and create 75 jobs in the process.

Located in a Grade II listed building on the corner of Thurland Street and Pelham Street, this is BOX’s first venue in Nottingham.

This 16,000 sq ft venue can accommodate up to 650 people and will feature live sports, live bands, and entertainment.

The bar at BOX Nottingham, spanning 17 metres, will offer a selection of local and national craft beers, along with a diverse range of beers from around the world, including the award-winning Castle Rock brewed in Nottingham.

Additionally, they will have a cocktail menu available at 2-for-1 prices all day from Sunday to Friday, featuring signature cocktails like the BOX Iced Tea and Watermelon and Pear Punch.

On Thursdays, a karaoke concept called Bandeoke will be introduced, allowing customers to sing live with the bands on stage.
For a more private karaoke experience, the second floor offers a bookable group karaoke room and other private rooms known as The Bow and The Arrow, suitable for parties and meetings.
The food menu features classic options such as burgers, kebabs, and a protein-packed choice called the Gym BOX Salad.

Operation manager Kirsty Clarke said: “Nottingham is home to some of the best sports fans in the country, from football and cricket to ice hockey and tennis, so it’s the perfect choice for our first East Midlands venue. We certainly aren’t holding back either as it’s our largest venue to date, with the biggest screen of any of our bars. It’s already game, set and match to Nottingham.

“With the festive season just around the corner, BOX is going to be the perfect destination to celebrate and we can’t wait to open our doors in November and welcome Nottingham in to watch, play and party!”

BOX Nottingham is scheduled to open its doors on November 11th and will become part of the network of BOX bars across the country, including locations in Leeds, Manchester, and Birmingham.
