Boutique law firm expands with double senior hire

Faulkner, Stojak and Smith

Boutique law firm Orbit Legal has expanded with a move into larger offices and two senior solicitors joining the team.

Holly Smith, commercial property and land lawyer, joins to head up the newly-formed property team.

Orbit Legal already specialises in corporate legal advice for SMEs, and is now able to offer the legal services of selling, buying or leasing commercial property.

Charlotte Stojak also joins the corporate team as a senior associate.

Chris Faulkner, managing director and previously Knights’ Derby office leader, started Orbit Legal in 2020.

He said: “For SMEs the sale, purchase, or restructuring of a business or property portfolio can be an emotional process. Often the owners don’t want formality or a big legal team involving many layers. They want consistency; an engaged, supportive, and committed senior legal partner, guiding them through the entire project.

“Key to delivering this is the people on the team, and I’m so pleased two of the best solicitors I’ve worked with at some of the most highly regarded firms in the East Midlands share this vision and have decided to join us.”

Orbit Legal has also moved into larger offices within Bramley House in Long Eaton.

Faulkner added: “We’re delighted to have found larger office space in Long Eaton. As well as serving our clients in both Derby, Nottingham, and the rest of the UK from a convenient location, we’re also perfectly located for the thriving businesses around these cities, including in Long Eaton and Beeston.

“Bramley House immerses us in a fantastic community of like-minded businesses, as well as providing modern and spacious meeting facilities for visitors.”
