Nottingham property law firm raises funds for local charity at Oktoberfest event

Nottingham-based property law firm, Landsmiths, recently hosted an event at The Bierkeller in Nottingham, raising £4,000 for the local charity, The Core Centre.

This event, held on October 12th, brought together the Nottingham business community for an evening of celebration, networking, and fundraising.

Guests enjoyed Bavarian food and drinks, live music, and entertainment. The fundraising efforts included a charity raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.

The Core Centre, located in Calverton, Nottingham, is a small charity with three staff members, 30 volunteers, trustees, and a partner network.

They operate as a Community Hub, offering support for well-being, health, advice, and community engagement.

The Core Centre provides over 30 activities and services to address the community’s evolving needs, especially in the post-Covid and cost-of-living crisis era.

They are currently focused on alleviating the severe impact of the cost of living crisis and preparing for a challenging winter ahead.

Sam and Becky from Core Events said: “We can’t thank Landsmiths enough….it was a fantastic event! We were absolutely blown away by everyone’s generosity! The money raised will make such a difference to our charity, filling our funding gaps and helping us to continue our essential services within the community. A huge thanks to everyone involved.

“We made some great connections on the night who have offered their help/expertise. The  opportunity for us to make these connections is just as valuable to us as cash donations.”
