Consulting engineer celebrates 30 years in business with new office

Nottingham and Birmingham-based Millward Consulting Engineers is celebrating 30 years of business with a new premises.

Set up in 1993, the second-generation family business has marked the milestone by hosting a celebratory event for its team, clients, suppliers, friends, and family.

Integrated engineering consultancy Millward was established by Terry Millward, Nicola’s father, in Beeston. The firm was originally set up to support the quarry industry and provide exceptional client care and value engineering solutions, and while these core services continue today, the business’s offer has expanded considerably.

Nicola bought the business from Terry in 2003 and Millward now employs 20 team members and has worked on over 16,000 projects over the last three decades. The company offers civil and structural, environmental, and geotechnical, highways and infrastructure and traffic and transport services in sectors including industrial, retail, residential, education, care, and leisure.

The company has bought and moved into its new 2,500 sq ft premises on Nottingham Science Park.

Nicola Millward said: “Success is a journey and I want to thank everyone who has been part of our Millward journey; staff past and present, our many loyal clients – some of which we have worked with from the beginning – and those who I have relied upon for sound advice and counsel.

“I am also grateful to my wonderful dad for trusting me with his business and giving me the most amazing opportunity to make it my own. The party was the ideal opportunity to celebrate all that Millward is and has achieved and to thank all those important people in a fun and informal setting.
