£9m housing development gets underway in Nottingham

Construction has commenced on 39 affordable homes on Beechdale Road, Nottingham, at a former coach station.

Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) has partnered with local firm MyPad for this project.

This collaboration marks the seventh scheme undertaken by MyPad for NCHA in Nottingham since 2022.

The development is being designed by local architects Another Kind and is set to be completed by 2025.

Valued at over £9m, the project is committed to high-quality construction and an energy rating of B.

The initiative aims to repurpose brownfield land, providing affordable housing that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding community.

Fran Cropper, new business and development manager at NCHA: “It’s great to see this development begin, after many years in the planning. Nottingham City has an incredibly high demand for affordable housing, and we are delighted to be able to deliver homes to people who need them the most.”

Tom Spink, director at MyPad said: “We’re delighted to see works now progressing on this site after our team’s hard work obtaining planning permission earlier this year. It’s been a pleasure to work with Nottingham City Council and NCHA who have both been instrumental in making this regeneration development possible. We’re now focused on completing the build and handing over keys to NCHA later next year.”
