Plans to build 21 industrial units on former Leicester city council offices have been approved.

In 2021 the council secured £19.4m to expand Pioneer Park, the city’s science park.

The Ian Marlow Centre was slated for redevelopment within this funding, turning into new industrial units after the demolition of the council buildings on the site, leaving it vacant.

Recently, a second application for the former Ian Marlow Centre has been approved, allowing for the construction of four new buildings, which will house a total of 21 industrial units.

The proposed development is aimed at SMEs, featuring 40 parking spaces and six electric vehicle charging points.
