Construction underway at Leicestershire business park

Construction is underway on Unit D at Beauchamp Business Park, a new commercial development in Kibworth, Leicestershire.

A local company has already acquired the freehold of Unit D, with IMA Architects adapting the initial plans to align with the company’s needs, resulting in two 5,000 sq ft units, each with service yards.

Clowes Developments, alongside a team comprising IMA Architects, TanRo, Millward Consulting Engineers, Gateley Legal and Postins Project Services, are driving forward the development of Beauchamp Business Park.

Construction for the initial phase started in September 2023, with 80% of the units sold or under offer within two months of becoming available for enquiries.

Ben Hall, director at IMA Architects said: “As the initial plans were amended to meet the needs of the occupier, construction work on Unit D has been delayed slightly, so we are pleased to now see the steel frames in place. Working closely with occupiers to ensure they get the building that matches their needs is hugely important to us and we are looking forward to delivering the building in the coming months.”

The second phase has secured planning consent and will introduce two additional terraces and a detached unit suitable for B1 and B2 use classes.

Upon completion, Beauchamp Business Park will offer a range of industrial units, both freehold and leasehold, spanning from 1,270 sq ft to 10,085 sq ft.

Philips Sutton and TDBRE have been appointed as agents for the project.

Kevin Webster, associate director at Clowes Developments said: “Our long-standing relationship with IMA Architects enables a fluid design process from inception to delivery. This flexibility provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with end users by tweaking plans to suit their requirements, something we have found useful over the years. We look forward to bringing forward phase two in the next few months and encourage enquiries through our agents TDBRE and Philips Sutton.”

Construction is slated to commence in Summer 2024, with completion anticipated in early 2025.
