Plans to turn a former bank in Nottingham city centre into a hospitality venue have been revealed.

David Hallam of Grey Duck has submitted proposals to Nottingham City Council to turn the former TSB branch on Low Pavement into a coffee shop and pizza restaurant.

Plans shows a cafe called Public to the front of the ground floor and a restaurant called Peter Pizzeria to the rear of the Grade II building, which was built by Thomas Hawkskey in 1836 for the Nottingham Savings Bank.

The ground floor of the building has been empty for almost three years, since TSB announced it was closing the branch. The upper floors house flats.

Peter Pizzeria already has venues in Leicester and Loughborough.

Nottingham City Council planning bosses will decide on the proposals over coming weeks.
