Panther pounces on new client win with furniture retailer

Panther Logistics, the Northampton delivery firm, has won the contract to deliver products for Hemming & Wills, an online furniture retailer.

Experiencing significant growth during the Covid-19 pandemic, Hemming & Wills adapted to the surge in online shopping and with a vision to sustain this growth amidst the ongoing rise of e-commerce in the UK, Hemming & Wills turned to Panther Logistics for their expertise in two-person delivery services.

Established by founder Chris Woolfenden in 2019, Hemming & Wills was created to be a brand focused on quality and value in furniture products. Today, the online retailer offers a range of design-led furniture, from dining tables to beds.

Chris Woolfenden, founder of Hemming & Wills said: “A big part of this is our delivery offering and ensuring that our customer’s products are delivered safely and professionally, especially as many of them are high-ticket items. While we have only been with Panther for a short amount of time, we have been impressed by their service. With previous delivery providers, we often had to contend with damages, lengthy collection lead times and late deliveries.

“For the most part, Panther’s turnaround is collection and delivery within one day – which from our experience is completely unheard of. Fundamentally, want to create a pleasurable buying experience for our customers so they keep coming back time and again, and Panther can play a significant role in enabling this.

James Langer, business development manager at Panther Logistics, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity of partnering with Hemming & Wills, an exciting and promising online retailer that not only has high aspirations for growth, but shares a number of synergies with Panther Logistics, especially in regard to delivering excellence across every aspect of their business.”
