Specsavers to create Nottingham campus with 44,600 sq ft office expansion

Cirrus House and The Arc

Specsavers has taken another 44,600 sq ft of office space in Nottingham, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

The firm, which has its central hub at the 40,000 sq ft Cirrus House, has signed a deal to expand into The Arc, next door on the NG2 Business Park.

According to planning documents, Specsavers is planning to link the two offices and carry out substantial upgrades that will create a “new and inspiring” workplace for its support office staff.

A planning statement accompanying outlines for the link between the Cirrus House and The Arc, said: “Specsavers will continue to focus on developing and growing its Nottingham base and it is anticipated that with the benefit of the new premises, and a truly inspiring workplace following refurbishment, there will be further job creation opportunities as the group strives to change more lives through better eyesight and hearing.”

The link between the two buildings is being designed by HSSP Architects. Is it thought that Specsavers is working with Ashby based Blueprint Interiors to bring forward the refurbishment of the two buildings.

The planning statement added: “HSSP Architects have a wealth of experience in dealing with high quality contemporary buildings and have a long-standing relationship with Blueprint Interiors who are acting as lead design consultants on this project.”
