Land deal set to bring forward 60 homes in Leicestershire

The East Midlands region of housebuilder Allison Homes has acquired a site in the village of Anstey for a new housing development which will cover around five acres.
60 homes will be built and will range from two to five bedrooms, with 18 designated as affordable housing available through rent and shared ownership.
Construction is slated to begin in early spring 2025, with completion expected by late 2026.
The development is one of the first for Allison Homes East Midlands, following a recent land acquisition in Shepshed.
Under section 106, the company will contribute financially to local amenities, including allotments, sports facilities, schools, healthcare services, bus stops, and parks.
Karl Edwards, operations director for Allison Homes East Midlands, said: “Securing this site in Anstey, our region’s second parcel of land, is an achievement that we are extremely proud of. The team have been working tirelessly with Mather Jamie and Clarendon Land to reach this milestone. We are now very much looking forward to introducing ourselves and our new homes to the Anstey community in 2025.
“This new development will deliver 60 high-quality homes, as well as a host of new employment and training opportunities. At Allison Homes we take our social responsibilities as a housebuilder very seriously and will be committed to supporting and being part of the local existing community. We will also be working hard to establish our presence across the wider East Midlands region over the coming months, as part of our exciting growth plans.”
