Warehouse of collapsed haulage firm sold in multimillion-pound deal

Over 140,000 sq ft of industrial space in Kettering, Northamptonshire has been sold in a multi-million-pound deal.

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has completed the sale of the 143,818 sq ft former KNP Logistics Group warehouse, with the buyer yet to be named.

The site features three interconnected warehouses, two office configurations, a large steel portal-framed canopy, and additional undeveloped land.

It also benefits from environmentally friendly initiatives like LED lighting and rainwater harvesting.

KNP Logistics Group entered administration last September, resulting in the loss of 780 jobs.

KNP was formed in 2016 when Knights of Old was merged with Derby-based Nelson Distribution, along with Isle of Wight-based Steve Porter Transport and Merlin Supply Chain Solutions, located in Islip and Luton.

Richard Durkin, director at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “Following an all-encompassing marketing campaign which resulted in significant interest we were able to select a party in order to take the transaction forward which resulted in a positive outcome for our client.”

Lambert Smith Hampton acted on behalf of the joint administrators, Rajnesh Mittal and Nathan Jones of FRP Advisory.
