Former MasterChef winner buys Vale of Belvoir pub
A former winner of MasterChef: The Professionals has bought one of Nottinghamshire’s revered country pubs.
Laurence Henry, who once worked as sous chef at the Michelin-starred Sat Bains restaurant, and his wife Sera have bought The Martins Arms in the Vale of Belvoir village of Colston Bassett.
In a statement on social media, Henry said: “After almost a year of looking for the perfect place to call our own, @seracatrinh & I are so to be the new owners of The Martins Arms, country pub & restaurant in Colston Basset!
“Lots of work to do over the next few months but we cannot wait to welcome you soon.”
Henry’s last job was as chef patron at The Island Quarter’s Cleaver & Wake fine dining restaurant. He left in November last year to “work on his own projects”.
Work is currently underway to refurbish The Martins Arms.
