RML Group, an automotive engineering specialist based in Wellingborough, Northampton, has marked several milestones as it celebrates 40 years.

Among the milestones is the appointment of Paul Dickinson as chief operating officer, the announcement of new investment and a restructuring of its operations.

Dickinson brings a wealth of experience from senior roles at Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley Motors, and Lotus.

At Bentley, he served as chief commercial officer for Mulliner, the brand’s bespoke commissioning division and later as global finance director at Lotus.

He joined RML at a pivotal time, as the company restructured into four specialised divisions—Power, Engineering, Motorsport, and Bespoke—to better serve its client base.

He said: “I’m joining RML Group at a tremendously exciting time, as the business moves into a new era. RML has a global reputation for innovative ICE and EV drive trains, bespoke vehicle manufacture, racing success and more. I’m thrilled to be joining this industry-leading team.”

Michael Mallock, RML Group CEO, said: “Paul’s arrival is key part of our strategic growth as our industry rapidly expands into electrification and other new technologies while remaining rooted in traditional engineering excellence.

“Our new structure and investment will allow us to maximise the capabilities of the highly skilled workforce here at Wellingborough and accelerate the delivery of customer projects as well as invest in new skills and technologies.”
