Boulangerie de Saigon, a bakery known for its homemade sandwiches and cakes, has expanded to a bigger location in Nottingham.

After gaining a loyal following at its original spot in Sneinton Market, the Vietnamese café has moved to larger premises on Low Pavement.

Sisters Aivi and Milly Nguyen became local favourites with their signature bánh mì sandwiches and delicious cakes.

Earlier this year, they closed their Sneinton café to focus on revamping their new city-centre space.

The café offers a variety of drinks, including Vietnamese black drip coffee, iced coffee with condensed milk, and egg coffee.

While the full menu is still being finalised, plans for the new year include serving brunch options and, of course, more bánh mì.

Customers can expect dishes like steak and eggs with onions and a toasted baguette, or a veggie version with mushrooms.

For something sweet, there will be apple French toast with vanilla mascarpone, honey cream and miso star anise caramel.

The bánh mì menu will feature three variations: The Works (with pork belly, ham, Vietnamese mortadella, and a fried egg), Mother Clucka (with fried chicken and satay slaw), and Notorious VEG (with crispy tofu).

The café will also offer chicken spring rolls and plum fries for lighter bites.

With seating for 30 inside and plans for outdoor tables come summer, Boulangerie de Saigon is set to be a popular spot in the city.

The café’s opening hours will be finalised after the new year, but it’s currently open until Christmas Eve.
