Former McDonald’s restaurant could be turned into mixed-use scheme
A former McDonald’s restaurant in Nottingham city centre could be turned into mixed-use scheme combining commercial space and student accommodation.
Plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council by Arcas Properties to redevelop 13-14 Exchange Walk. The prominent site was used as a McDonald’s until it closed in July 2023.
Arcas wants to add another floor to the building and use the upper floors for student accommodation, with 16 bedrooms across cluster flats, and maintain the ground floor for commercial use.
The scheme is being designed by ArkleBoyce.
