Jobs under threat as agri-tech firm calls in administrators

A Lincolnshire agri-tech firm has collapsed into administration, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.
Househam Sprayers, of Woodhall Spa, has called in Sandy Kinninmonth and James Prior of FRP Advisory has joint administrators.
A spokesperson for FRP told TheBusinessDesk.com: “The administrators are currently assessing options for the future of the business.”
Founded in 1970, and based in Woodhall Spa, Househam has operated in the agri-tech manufacturing sector for over 40 years.
The business specialises in the production and engineering of a range of self-propelled crop spraying machines.
According to its latest available accounts, made up to the end of 2023, Househam Sprayer employed almost 50 people.
The move comes two-and-a-half-years after Househam Sprayers received nearly half a million pounds in working capital to help fulfil its expanding order book.
The firm was awarded the £450,000 loan by MEIF Maven Debt Finance East and South East Midlands via the Recovery Loan Scheme.
The company said at the time that it was planning to use the cash to raise its stock levels, enabling it to meet increasing demand for its products.
