Tesco unveils multimillion-pound security hub in Northamptonshire

Tesco is stepping up its fight against store crime with the launch of a new security hub in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
The facility is part of a multimillion-pound investment aimed at tackling the rising costs of shoplifting and increasing incidents of violence against staff.
With crime in retail costing UK retailers an eye-watering £1.8bn a year, the new hub will house a team working around the clock, analysing CCTV footage and sharing vital intelligence with police forces.
Emma Sparrock, UK security operations centre lead posted on LinkedIn: “This is a huge step forward, and we’re feeling motivated and ready for the new challenges ahead. Our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our colleagues and customers has never been stronger.
“Massive thank you to our shrink transformation and technology teams who have worked so hard to achieve this. This move is a symbol of our team’s growth, and we’re ready to face what lies ahead with a renewed sense of purpose and determination.”
