Romero makes the move into Nottingham

An independent insurance firm is pushing for further growth and is opening its first Midlands office in Nottingham.

Romero Insurance Brokers, which already has an established network of offices throughout the north, and has chosen Nottingham for its debut in the Midlands.

The new office will be headed up by Stuart Williams.

Managing director Simon Mabb said: “We are delighted that Stuart has joined Romero’s to expand and enhance our offering in the Midlands. “We look forward developing our business in the Midlands and creating local jobs.

“We have enjoyed a sustained period of growth for the business in the last five years and we now intend to push on towards the £100m premium mark in the next five years.

Established in 1997, Romero Insurance Brokers works in a number of sectors including construction, manufacturing, retail/wholesale, leisure, chemicals and technology.

The firm now employs more than 150 staff and also has offices in Leeds, Manchester, Halifax and Stockton.
