Premier League champions Leicester City are looking for their first ever in-house lawyer.

The Foxes are advertising for a general counsel in response to what it is calling “a rapid growth in the Club’s business”.

Leicester City’s new general counsel will be responsible for all of the Club’s commercial legal work including all media, sponsorship and other commercial contracts, player and player trading contracts, all IP matters, regulatory and governance work, and dispute resolution issues.

The general counsel will also be expected to appoint and appropriately manage external counsel when necessary.

The Foxes are using London-based legal recruitment company Shilton Sharpe Quarry to hunt down their preferred candidate.

Meanwhile, the club has revealed that it has sold out of season tickets for the 2016/17 tickets season after experiencing a 98.7 per cent renewal rate .

The Foxes will kick off the defence of their Premier League title away at newly-promoted Hull City on 13 August.
