On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Nottingham accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has promoted seven staff in its audit and accounts teams alongside a promotion at director level.
Alex Hoctor and Daniel Grant-Hunter have been promoted to audit seniors, Nicola Cottee, Daniel Waymont and Rebekah Harrison have been promoted to audit supervisors and Julie Parry has been promoted to audit and accounts manager.
Phil Oliver, managing partner at the firm, said: “We have great plans for the future of UHY in Nottingham and we are delighted to announce these seven new promotions.
“We are pleased David has chosen to make this next step here at UHY Hacker Young in Nottingham, and we hope he is able to grow and develop both himself and the firm in his new role.”

Recruitment consultancy Macildowie has welcomed seven new starters.
Alex Alcock has been promoted to the role of operations director.
The company’s business operations and clerical finance team is bolstered by recruitment consultants Lee Gibbons (Nottingham) and Amy Harris (Milton Keynes), whilst Amie Twells also joins the Nottingham team, specialising in the recruitment of procurement professionals.
Recruitment consultants Oliver Starbuck and Becky Clarke join the respective teams in Milton Keynes and Leicester, with Larrissa Kerr also joining the Nottingham office as assistant management accountant.
Petronella Bartosekova joins the Leicester team as business support administrators, with Sally Fawcett-White taking up the same role in Nottingham.
The recruitment consultancy has also recognised the talents of Nav Rattan, the firms’ most successful consultant of 2016, with a promotion to business manager within the firm’s record-breaking accountancy division.
Macildowie has offices in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Milton Keynes and Northampton.
