Garmandale, the Ilkeston theme park ride manufacturer, has told TheBusinessDesk.com that it has plans to double its workforce over the next year.

Garmendale says it will be looking to fill 16 jobs in the next 12 months.

The firm  has just unveiled a €500,000-plus ride to replace the ‘Magic Sleigh Ride’ that has been in place at the Santa Park in Rovaniemi, Finland.

It has been designed from scratch by the team at Garmendale and delivered in under six
months. Every part for the ride has been designed, sourced and manufactured in and around Ilkeston and the East Midlands.

A spokesperson for Garmendale told TheBusinessDesk.com: “We are now heavily on the recruitment trail to staff up for the new orders we’ve brought in and looking to almost double the staff over the next year.

“These are for orders on the books too, not just speculative expansion. We are mainly looking for engineers which has to be great news for the Ilkeston area.”
