On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Kate Hennig, director of Nottingham based learning and development company theGrogroup has been appointed as regional director of the PM Forum’s East Midlands Committee.

The PM Forum is an international membership organisation for marketers working in professional services firms.

Hennig takes over the reins from Sue Carr, director of Nottingham-based marketing consultancy firm, V Formation, who has held the role for three years.

Hennig said: “I was thrilled to be asked to become the regional director and I hope my background working as a fee earner and in support roles for professional services firms on a national and regional basis, will bring many benefits to local members. We are planning an exciting programme of events for 2017 and look forward to welcoming more East Midlands members.”

Recruitment consultancy Macildowie has announced the appointment of Richard Haaker as associate director to its Nottingham office.

Haaker, who previously held a senior position at Badenoch & Clark, will be responsible for the Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing arms of the Macildowie business.

He will oversee recruitment for permanent and temporary positions across the Midlands at all levels.

He said: “The Macildowie brand really stood out to me when I was considering the move. The consultancy shows such innovation in the digital communications space. With their innovative approach to using LinkedIn, they are breaking new ground in the recruitment sector and how it interacts with its customers – I wanted to be a part of that.”

Nottingham-based accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has added to its taxation department with the appointment of five new team members.

Rebecca Martindale will significantly bolster the firm’s family offering, bringing with her a wealth of experience in advising on matters relating to trusts.

The STEP qualified senior manager will be joined by tax seniors Iain Wheat and Kim Cottee, who specialise in corporate tax and personal tax respectively, and trainees Matthew Jones and Hannah Kasem.

Simon Browning, tax partner at UHY Hacker Young, said: “We have been able to recruit some really talented people across different grades and service lines, all of whom will bring something slightly different to the firm.

“Rebecca is an expert in all things trust related and will really bolster that area of the business with her specialist experience, which will enable us to offer our clients a broader range of advice on family matters.

“Iain and Kim both have a wealth of expertise in their specialist areas and will be fantastic additions to the team. Hannah and Matthew are already proving to both be excellent trainees and will be working towards their ATT qualifications while supporting the team with client work.”
