Bristol Temple Meads station reaches practical completion

Practical completion has been marked on the new Eastern Entrance to Bristol Temple Meads station.

Bristol Temple Quarter is now handing the site over to University of Bristol, which will continue work on the Enterprise Campus for the next two years, including delivering the public realm outside the entrance.

Both buildings will open in Autumn 2026.

Bristol Temple Quarter said: “When open, the new entrance will open directly into the new campus, as well as dramatically improving access to and from the station to the east of Bristol. By 2030, 2.5m people a year will use this entrance.

“This major milestone would not have been possible without a partnership approach between the #TempleQuarter partners – Homes England, Bristol City Council, West of England Combined Authority, Network Rail and University of Bristol, and the support of Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government funding, awarded in 2022.”
